These reimbursements are deposited into the MFT fund. <br /> Motor Fuel Tax funds allocated to local agencies are administered by IDOT. The City is <br /> required to adopt a resolution specifying the intended use of all MFT funds. The City Council <br /> has appropriated Motor Fuel Tax funds for this purpose going back many years. The resolution <br /> is attached. <br /> SCHEDULE: <br /> Maintenance operations for 2012 are complete and the actual costs have been tabulated. <br /> Maintenance operations for 2013 are currently underway and will continue until December 31, <br /> 2013. <br /> BUDGEUTIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: The proposed resolutions appropriate Motor Fuel Tax funds to reimburse the <br /> General Fund for general traffic signal maintenance work for the following calendar years. <br /> 1. The appropriation of an additional$14,186.89, for traffic signal maintenance and <br /> operations that occurred in calendar year 2012. <br /> 2. The appropriation of$400,000, for the estimated costs of traffic signal maintenance and <br /> operations for calendar year 2013. <br /> General Fund expenditures for traffic signal maintenance work are included in the Public Works <br /> Department - Traffic and Parking Section budget.
