Old Business.None. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 NEW BUSINESS <br /> .24 <br /> 25 Item#1 Request to prohibit vehicles of second division, Class C or higher, from <br /> 26 traveling along E. Kenwood Avenue between N. Main Street and N. Martin <br /> 27 Luther King Jr.Drive. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 I Griffin Enyart reported that_City staff was contacted by area residents about a number of semi <br /> 31 trucks driving down East Kenwood Avenue.East Kenwood between North Main Street and <br /> 32 North Martin Luther King(MLK)Jr. Drive is primarily for residential use.The area is zoned <br /> 33 residential and the street is designed more for residential uses. While an occasional semi truck <br /> 34 can be expected on any road,frequent semi truck traffic poses a nuisance to the residents and <br /> 35 could potentially damage infrastructure. City crews have had to replace signs which have been <br /> 36 knocked down by large vehicles turning onto East Kenwood, and prolonged heavy traffic will <br /> 37 increase the rate of pavement deterioration. <br /> .38 <br /> Page 1 <br />
