VIETNAM MEMORIAL RELOCATION D('_SCl'ip/IOYI: This work shall consist of the disassembly and relocation of the existing monument. During the ' disassembly process the contractor shall observe the manner in which the monument is fastened to the concrete foundation and monument base. The relocated monument shall be fastened to the new concrete foundation and monument base in the same manner. The contractor shall give ' notice to the City of Decatur so that a City Representative can be present during the disassembly. The Contractor shall construct a new P.C.C. foundation as per detail and location shown on the project drawings. The Contractor shall re-assemble the monument on the new foundation and ' orientate the monument as directed by the City. The exposed P.C.C. foundation shall be finished to a smooth finish. The existing foundation shall be excavated, hauled away and backfilled with compacted clay. All dowels, fasteners, sealant, fill material, etc. shall be considered incidental to ' the cost of VIETNAM MEMORIAL RELOCATION. Pavment: This work will be paid for at the contract unit price per each for VIETNAM MEMORIAL ' RELOCATION. ' SITE GRADING ' Description: All site grading shall be in accordance with applicable sections of the IDOT Standard Specifications. This work shall consist of the all grading, shaping, backfilling and compacting surfaces as required for the construction of the improvements in Central Park. This work also includes re-grading for drainage and fill required due to the changes in sidewalk grades,removal of pavement and other existing structures. The contractor shall provide topsoil free of all stones, boulders, debris, and similar material larger than 1/2-inch in the largest dimension and finish ' grade all areas to be seeded. The contractor must compact all subgrade beneath all improvements to 95% of standard proctor density in accordance with IDOT Standard Specifications. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all fill material and topsoil ' required to meet the proposed elevations. The contractor shall remove all excavated material not needed and not suitable for fill areas. ' 1'aVmew: This work will be paid foi-at the contract price of lump sum for SITE GRADING. ' CIVIL WAR MONUMENT FOUNDATION ' Deycrlption: This work shall consist of the construction of a new concrete foundation at the location indicated on the project drawings.
