SCHEDULE: <br /> Following approval of the contract by the City Council the contracts will be forwarded to the <br /> Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) in Effingham for approval. Work on this project <br /> shall begin after a"Notice to Proceed" has been issued from the City. The Street Restoration <br /> project is scheduled to be complete within 50 working days after the "Notice to Proceed" has <br /> been issued, which is estimated to be mid October. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact <br /> Funding for this project is allocated in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund. The recommended low bid <br /> amount is $1,398,072.01. It is proposed that a total project expenditure of$1,440,000 be <br /> authorized to allow $41,927.99 for project contingencies. The City's current Motor Fuel Tax <br /> allocation for this project is set at $1,400,000 and is proposed to be increased by $40,000 to <br /> $1,440,000.. <br /> The project should begin in August and be completed within 50 working days after the Notice to <br /> Proceed is issued which is estimated to be mid October. <br /> Staff Impact <br /> Staff time has been allocated for this project in the Capital Improvement Plan. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution and bid award. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Illinois Department of Transportation <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director and Matt Newell, City <br /> Engineer.
