2. PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MANUFACTURERS <br /> Provide Video System components as follows: <br /> A. The IPVSSP (IP-Video Surveillance and Security Platform) shall be a <br /> comprehensive, distributed platform which combines: <br /> o full VMS functionality; <br /> o centralized event,user rights and video distribution management; <br /> o Coordination/management of integrated physical security, <br /> content analytic, environmental detection and other enterprise <br /> systems. <br /> 1. The IPVSSP shall enable the user to view, manage, and record video <br /> from an unlimited number of IP and non-IP video surveillance <br /> cameras at multiple sites,manage short- and long-term video storage, <br /> and combine video with non-video alerts, resulting in automatic <br /> video delivery to subscribers of interest. <br /> 2. The IPVSSP shall allow for the utilization of off-the-shelf hardware, <br /> and shall facilitate the integration of new technologies, thus <br /> combining the detection and distribution of video events with data <br /> and alerts received from a host of physical security and transaction <br /> systems. <br /> 3. The IPVSSP shall offer optional add-on components via integration <br /> tools including Data Link Integration events, API commands, <br /> Contact Closure and more. An optional Software Development Kit <br /> (SDK) shall enable the integration of 3rd-party components. <br /> 4. The IPVSSP System shall support the use of separate or common <br /> networks, VLANS or switches for connecting cameras to the <br /> recording servers and video clients. This shall provide physical <br /> network separation between the camera and servers/clients. <br /> 5. The IPVSSP System shall support the use of VMware to run <br /> recording servers and video client applications on virtual computers, <br /> servers, and networks. <br /> B. Major System Components <br /> The IPVSSP is a unified, modular software platform that consists of a <br /> number of components including one (1) Base license and sixteen (16) <br /> camera licenses: <br /> Decatur Public Transit System A-2 IP Video System <br />
