Public Works Memorandum <br /> No. 2012 —24 <br /> DATE: March 13, 2012 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor McElroy and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Ryan P. McCrady, City Manager <br /> Richard G. Marley, Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: FASTER Fleet Management Software—Annual Support Services Fee <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution approving the <br /> expenditure of$7,218.00 for FASTER Fleet Management Software—Annual Support Services <br /> for the six(6) User License System for the Period 11/1/2011 through 10/31/2012 by CCG <br /> Systems. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> City Council approved on April 6, 2009, the Funds to purchase FASTER Fleet Management <br /> Software. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The FASTER Fleet Management Software requires an annual support service fee. The fee <br /> amount is as follows; FY 10-11, $7,008, FY 11-12, $7,218, FY 12-13, $7,435, FY 13-14, $7,658, <br /> FY 14-15, $7,888. Funds to purchase the annual support service fee for the FY 11-12 were <br /> included in the FY 11-12 Public Works Department budget. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections to this request. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard G. Marley, Public Works Director and Rennie A. Young, <br /> Fleet Supervisor. Richard G. Marley will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer <br /> any questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET IMPLICATIONS: Funding for the expenditure is available in the FY2011-12 <br /> Equipment Replacement Fund budget. <br /> This memorandum was prepared by Rennie A.
