Perry, Purchasing Supervisor t <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for Inflatable Boat <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Mil Pro Marine <br /> to furnish one (1) #Z80163 Zodiac Grand Raid Mark III inflatable boat. <br /> BACKGROUND: The boat will be used by the Fire Department. It will replace a twenty year <br /> old Zodiac boat that was taken out of service last year because it will not hold air anymore. The <br /> boat will be used in the dive operations in Lake Decatur and the areas of the Sangamon River <br /> that pass through the City. <br /> The Fire Department received a grant from the Assistance to Fire Fighters for this purchase. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Fire Department requested the boat and approves this <br /> purchase. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Sekosky, Fire chief, 424-2811. Matt will be at the meeting to <br /> answer any questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $9290.00 from an 80/20 share program from the Federal Grant and the General <br /> Fund. <br />
