Section L. LICENSES AND PERMITS <br /> 1. It shall be the responsibility of Layne Christensen to obtain any and all licenses and <br /> permits required to conduct the work set forth in this Agreement. <br /> Section M.PREVAILING WAGE RATE <br /> 1. The general prevailing rates of wages for the locality shall be paid for each craft or <br /> type of worker or mechanic needed to execute this Agreement or perform such work <br /> as stated in the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et. seg.) and Layne <br /> Christensen agrees to comply with said Act as well as comply with the Prevailing <br /> Wage Act Policy of the City, attached hereto, marked Exhibit B and incorporated <br /> herein by reference. <br /> Section N. FEDERAL LAWS <br /> 1. Layne Christensen agrees to comply and to require compliance by any and all of its <br /> sub-contractors of any and all applicable federal laws and regulations, including but <br /> not limited to the Davis-Bacon Act, the Contract Work Hours, the Safety Standards <br /> Act, and the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, and shall maintain documentation which <br /> demonstrates compliance with such. Such documentation shall be made available to <br /> the City for review upon request by the City. <br /> Section O. EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES <br /> 1. Layne Christensen agrees to comply and to require any and all of its sub-contractors <br /> to comply with the provisions of the Illinois Human Rights Act or the Rules and <br /> Regulations of the Illinois Department of Human Rights ("Department"), the <br /> provisions of the Human Relations Code of the City of Decatur and Equal <br /> Employment provisions set forth in the notice attached hereto, marked Exhibit C and <br /> incorporated herein by reference. <br /> Section P. SEVERABILITY <br /> 1. If any section, term or provision of this Agreement or the application thereof shall be <br /> found or held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of such section, term or <br /> provision of the Agreement other than those to which it is held invalid or <br /> unenforceable shall not be affected thereby. <br /> Section Q. NOTICE <br /> 1. All notices, demands, requests, consents, approvals or other instruments required or <br /> permitted by this Agreement shall be in writing and shall be executed by the party, <br /> officer, agent or attorney of the party, and shall be deemed to have been effective as <br /> of the date of actual delivery, if delivered personally, or as of the third (3rd) day from <br /> and including the date of posting, if mailed by registered or certified mail, return <br /> receipt requested, with postage prepaid, addressed as follows (or to such other address <br /> as is provided by notice): <br /> 4 <br />
