COUNCIL MEMORANDUM
#2012-01
January 12, 2012
TO: The Honorable Mayor and City Council Members
FROM: Ryan P. McCrady, City Manager
RE: Taxi License Application for A-1 Taxi
On January 3, 2012, at approximately 1:30 p.m, a public hearing was held as
required by Chapter 60 of the City Code regarding the application received from
Anthony Walker, A-1 Taxi, for a new taxicab license. Notice had been given and that
notice and various other documents and testimony were received.
As duly appointed Hearing Officer, and after examining the documents and
testimony, I find that the public is not currently adequately served, that convenience and
necessity require that proposed service, and that the vehicles proposed comply with the
terms of the Code. Considered also in my decision was the financial responsibility of
the applicant, number of vehicles and other factors required by Code.
After considering the documentation and evidence presented, I recommend that
Council grant the taxicab license to A-1 Taxi.
