CHAPTER 06 <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> 1. MEMBERSHIP. The City Council shall consist of the Mayor and six Councilmen <br /> each elected for a term of four years and until their respective successors are elected and <br /> qualified, which said term shall commence upon their respective inaugurations at the first regular <br /> or special meeting of the Council in the month of May next following the regular municipal <br /> election at which such officers were elected. <br /> 2. MEETINGS. Regular meetings of the Council shall be held on the first, third and <br /> any fifth Monday of each month, at the hour of 5:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers in Decatur, <br /> Illinois, located on the third floor of the Decatur Civic Center, said Civic Center being located at <br /> One Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois; provided that, if any regular meeting shall fall <br /> upon a holiday, then such meeting shall be held upon the first business day following. <br /> (Amended, Ordinance No. 2002-83, September 16, 2002) <br /> (Amended, Ordinance No. 2000-29, May 1, 2000) <br /> (Amended, Ordinance No. 94-54, July 18, 1994) <br /> 3. SPECIAL MEETINGS.
