To: City Clerk, Linda Swartz June 7, 2012 <br /> City Council <br /> Re: Request for permission to consume alcohol on a public .right of way. <br /> Y <br /> The Wild Dog Saloon is hosting a Bike night sponsored by Coziahr Harley Davidson and Miller <br /> Lite. On July 51h 2012.We have been granted permission from the city of Decatur police <br /> department to have lane closures on Cantrell St.from 5:00 pm to 12:00 am for parking and <br /> safety concerns. While we do not wish to have alcohol on this public right of way,we have <br /> determined that it will be nearly impossible to keep customers from browsing at all the different <br /> motorcycles and from walking across the street to southside grill that will be providing food for <br /> the event. We respectfully request permission from the city council and its distinguished <br /> members to be granted permission for alcohol consumption on Cantrell St. during this event <br /> between the hours of 5:00 To 12:00 am on July 5th 2012 in the barricaded area to allow for <br /> these concerns.
