r <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2012-11 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34—TRAFFIC - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 51 of Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur be, and <br /> the same is hereby, amended and modified, so that as so modified said Section 51 of Chapter 34 <br /> shall provide as follows: <br /> 51. HOLIDAYS. Those days designated holidays upon which parking time <br /> limit regulations shall not be enforced and the operation of the Motor Vehicle Parking <br /> System Garages shall be suspended, and for said purposes only, are hereby defined and <br /> designated as New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Good <br /> Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving <br /> Day, the Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day; provided that, if any such <br /> holiday shall occur on a Saturday such regulations shall not be enforced on the <br /> immediately preceding Friday, and if any such holiday shall occur on a Sunday such <br /> regulations shall not be enforced on the immediately succeeding Monday. <br /> Section 2.
