ORDINANCE NO. 2011-75 ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE - CHAPTER 67—BUILDING CODE- - CHAPTER 67.1 —FLOODPLAIN PROTECTION PROVISIONS- - CHAPTER 67.2 —RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CODE- - CHAPTER 68—MECHANICAL CODE- - CHAPTER 69—ELECTRICAL CODE - - CHAPTER 70—PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE- - CHAPTER 70.1 —PLUMBING CODE- - CHAPTER 71 —TELECOMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE FEE- - CHAPTER 72 —SEWER USER CHARGE- - CHAPTER 74—SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM- - CHAPTER 75—WATER SERVICES AND CONNECTIONS - BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Section 17 of Chapter 67, Section 12 A. 2. of Chapter 67.1, Section 13 of Chapter 67.2, Section 11 of Chapter 68, Section 13 of Chapter 69, Section 8 of Chapter 70, Section 8 of Chapter 70.1, Section 7 of Chapter 71, Section 8 of Chapter 72, Section 32 of Chapter 74 and Section 17 of Chapter 75 of the City of Decatur City Code be, and the same are hereby, modified and amended so that said Sections and Chapters as so amended shall provide as follows: 67. BUILDING CODE 17. PENALTY. Any person or entity that erects, constructs, alters, repairs, removes or demolishes a building or structure without a permit required by said Code or this Chapter, or in departure from or not in compliance with an approved plan, or that uses or occupies a building or structure, or part thereof, contrary to the provisions of this Code or without a required permit, whether or not notice is received that such is a violation, or that continues work after a stop-work order has
