TO: Mayor McElroy and City Council Members
FROM: Ryan P. McCrady, City Manager
Celeste F. Harris, City Clerk
RE: ROBBIE'S GRILL / DOWNTOWN SATURDAY STREET
PARTY
DATE: May 11, 2011
At Monday's meeting, the City Council will be asked to adopt the
attached ordinance allowing for the consumption of alcoholic liquor
on Merchant Street.
The Downtown Saturday Street Party events were started in recent
years by Rodney Powell of Robbie's Grill. The event has had a
positive impact for the downtown business district and for each
monthly event; Mr. Powell promotes a local agency or event. The
license classification issued to Robbie's Grill allows for liquor
consumption on Merchant Street but with the approval of the City
Council.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Attachment
