McCrady, City Manager Ron Neufeld, Finance Director SUBJECT: Supplemental Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 Attached are nine supplemental appropriations for fiscal year 2010-2011, for funding received or required after passage of the Appropriation Ordinance, approved July 19, 2010. End of year supplemental appropriations are necessary to take care of many issues that cannot be foreseen. • Risk Management - Fund 10—Department 30 —This ordinance appropriates an additional $3,000 to cover the additional personnel expense not included in the final budget. • Planning Fund — Fund 12 — This ordinance appropriates an additional $627,000 for the Decatur Corridor Monument Installation Project ($150,000), the Decatur Area Transportation Efficiency Study ($227,000) and demolition of Roach School ($250,000). The Planning Fund will be reimbursed from DUATS funds and Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program funds. Money for Roach School demolition will come from Planning funds. • Weed & Seed— Fund 24—This ordinance appropriates an additional $4,400 for operating expenses to cover Weed & Seed expenses. These are pass-through expenses with funds coming from the Federal Government. • Justice Administration Grant — This ordinance appropriates an additional $85,200 for operating expenses related to the Justice Administration Grant. These are pass-through expenses with funds coming from the Federal Government. • 2010 Project Fund — Fund 43 — This ordinance appropriates $24.0 million for expenses related to the FYI I expenses for dredging Lake Decatur, payoff of Letters of Credit, prepayment of Reynolds Development agreement, and engineering expenses related to downtown improvements.
