Staff recommends approval of the alleyway vacation with the following conditions: <br /> a. All easements shall be maintained. <br /> b. Coordinate with the Fire Department prior to the installation of fencing. <br /> c. Signage to assure safe travel from alleyway to Main Street shall be provided. Coordinate <br /> with the Public Works Department. <br /> d. Remove drive approach, replace with curb and gutter and bring sidewalk boulevard to <br /> grade to match existing. Coordinate with Public Works Department. <br /> PLAN COMMISSION ACTION <br /> 1. The Administrative Policy of the City of Decatur requires that property vacation requests be <br /> submitted to the Plan Commission for a public hearing. Although a Plan Commission <br /> recommendation is not required, a motion to forward the vacation request of Calendar Number 10- <br /> 14 to the City Council with a recommendation for approval is suggested. <br /> The above report constitutes the testimony and recommendation of the Planning and Sustainability <br /> Division, Department of Planning and Building Services, City of Decatur. <br /> Suzan M.
