EXCERPTS OF THE
MINUTES OF THE
TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION MEETING
Tuesday, April 13, 2010, 4:00 P.M.
Item#4 Request for the installation of stop signs at the intersection of Montgomery
Lane and Arthur Court.
Matt Newell received a complaint about vehicles speeding and concerns about vehicle accidents
at the intersection of Montgomery Lane and Arthur Court. A traffic study was done and the
speeds are generally low and two accidents have occurred over a three year period. Traffic
volumes are pretty much equal. Two accidents occurring over a three year period at an
intersection with a low daily traffic volume indicates the need for traffic control to assist in
assigning the right of passage at the intersection. Staff recommends that the stop signs face
Arthur Court.
Nikki Garry motioned to approve the installation of stop signs at the intersection facing Arthur
Court and seconded by Bob Luther. All were in favor. The Chairman declared the motion
carried.
