OF 'I HE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS DESIGNATING THE PINES SHOPPING CENTER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA WHEREAS, the City of' Decatur, Illinois (the "City") is a municipal corporation established pursuant to the Municipal Code of the State of Illinois and has jurisdiction over matters pertaining to its government and affairs; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois has heretofore in Ordinance No. 2010-04 adopted and approved the Pines Shopping Center TIF Tax Increment Redevelopment Plan and Project (the 'Redevelopment Plan") with respect to which a public hearing was held on February 1, 2010. and it is now necessary and desirable to designate the area referred to in said Redevelopment Plan as a Redevelopment Project Area, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS THAT: SECTION ONE: The area described in EXHIBIT A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby designated as a Redevelopment Project Area (to be known as the "Pines Shopping Center Redevelopment Project Area") pursuant to the Real Property Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act, 65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-4. SECTION TWO: From and after the effective date of this Ordinance, the proper officers, agents and employees of the City are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to do all such acts, including the sending of appropriate notices as required by the Act, and to execute all such documents as may be necessary to carry out the intent and accomplish the purposes of this Ordinance. SECTION THRI 1_`: That this Ordinance is adopted pursuant to home Rule Authority granted the City of Decatur by Article 7, Section 6, of the Illinois Constitution, 1970, and the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act (65 ILC'S 5/11-74.4-1 el seq.). SECTION POUR: "]'his Ordinance shall take effect immediately after its passage and approval.
