This view shows the <br /> approximate location in our front yard along North Main Street. It also shows a vehicle <br /> parked in the front parking lot. Hence, the need for a sign higher than the 10 feet <br /> permitted in an R-6 zone. <br /> Upper sign (Grace UMC logo): 6 feet high by 10 feet wide, including the peak area <br /> that is about 2 feet high. <br /> Electronic message unit: 3 feet high by 10 feet wide; 19 mm resolution <br /> Proposed height: Up to 17 feet at the peak. This would put the bottom of the message <br /> unit about 8 feet above the terrain. <br /> Location: This sign would be very close to where our current sign is located. The <br /> current sign is 23 feet south of the edge of our parking lot and about 10 feet west of the <br /> inside edge of the sidewalk shown above. The east edge of our current sign is just over <br /> 100 feet from the nearest residential use property at 936 North Main Street, directly <br /> across from the church. However, to be sure we are more than 100 feet from any <br /> residential use, we will likely locate the new sign 25 feet south of the parking lot and 12 <br /> feet west of the sidewalk. <br /> Contractor: Bendsen Signs & Graphics, Inc. <br />
