ORDINANCE NO. 2009-89 ORDINANCE ABATING LEVY GENERAL OBLIGATION NOTES SERIES 2007 WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2007-78 passed and approved on October 5, 2007, the Council caused general obligation notes of the City to be issued and did levy therein certain sums to pay the principal and interest on said notes; and, WHEREAS, funds other than those raised by general taxation have or will become available to timely pay such principal and interest as the same become due in fiscal year 2010- 2011. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the following tax levies for interest on and principal of the indicated bonds for the year 2008, payable in the fiscal year 2009-2010, be, and the same are hereby abated as follows: Ordinance Number Ordinance Full Tax and Bond Issue Levy Abatement Levy 2007-78 - General Obligation Notes, Series 2007 $7,597,088 $7,597,088 $0 Section 2. That the County Clerk of the County of Macon, Illinois, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to fully abate said levy and to extend the same as so abated for the year 2009.
