Stickle, Senior Planner5!'"l <br /> SUBJECT: Rezone Property East of 3601 Redlich Drive to R-3 Single Family <br /> Residence District <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the rezoning. The <br /> City Plan Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of this petition at the November <br /> 5, 2009 meeting; the minutes of the meeting are attached. <br /> BACKGROUND: The subject site is undeveloped. The subject site is currently located <br /> in the County. An annexation agreement was received and filed by the City Council on <br /> Monday, November 2, 2009. The annexation and annexation agreement are both on the <br /> agenda for the November 16, 2009 Council meeting. <br /> The subject petition requests rezoning to R-3 Single Family Residence District to allow <br /> for the construction of an accessory structure. The petitioner intends to annex the <br /> property located to the East of their current residence, rezone to match the existing <br /> zoning, submit a minor subdivision plat to create one (1) lot so they may construct an <br /> accessory structure. <br /> The proposed rezoning is consistent with the character of the surrounding neighborhood <br /> and general area. The surrounding zoning includes R-3 Single Family Residence <br /> Districts to the East, West and North, the property to the South is located in the County. <br /> The proposed rezoning is consistent with the intent of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There were no known objectors at the Plan Commission <br /> Meeting. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Suzan M.
