EXCERPTS OF THE
MINUTES OF THE
TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION MEETING
Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 4:00 P.M.
Item#1 Request for angled parking in the 100 block of South Water Street.
The parking layout will function similar to Prairie Street. Angled parking will increase the
number of parking spaces by 10. Citizen Tony Romano said that his firm is trying to lease out
the building and adding parking spaces by converting to angled parking would help leasing out
the building. The Commission recommended putting a handicap space at the most south space
and one in the middle of the block.
Staff Member Marley motioned to move forward with angled parking seconded by Staff Member
Chervinko. All were in favor. Acting Chairman declared the motion carried.
