Project Schedule <br /> The South Elevated Water Tank and the Water Distribution Main from the SWTP to the Elevated <br /> Tanks projects were advertised concurrently. The following is a tentative project schedule for the <br /> work: <br /> I-EPA Issued a Preliminary Environmental Impact Determination(PEID) August 3, 2009 <br /> (A PEID is a document issued by the I-EPA when they determine the <br /> proposed action will have no significant effect on the environment.) <br /> Both projects were advertised for bids August 9, 2009 <br /> PEID was advertised, for public input August 13, 2009 <br /> A Public Hearing was held concerning the PEID August 24, 2009 <br /> Pre-Bid Conference was held at the Civic Center September 2, 2009 <br /> Project Plan Approval from the I-EPA September 17, 2009 <br /> Bids Opened by the City September 29, 2009 <br /> City Council Approves I-EPA Loan Agreement October 5, 2009 <br /> City Council Receives and Approves Bids October 19, 2009 <br /> I-EPA Approves Bids November/December <br /> Notice of Award to Contractors November/December <br /> Notice to Proceed to Contractors December 2009 <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Department of Water Management. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Keith Alexander, Director of Water Management, Richard Marley, <br /> Director of Public Works, Matt Newell, City Engineer, and Curt Cassidy, Civil Engineer II. Keith <br /> Alexander and Matt Newell will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any <br /> questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: <br /> Funding for the loan repayment is currently allocated in the City's Water Non Lake Capital Fund. <br /> The agreement authorizes the City to enter into a loan agreement for up to $14,000,000. The <br /> proposed loan will cover engineering and construction costs associated with the construction of the <br /> South Elevated Water Storage Tank, Booster Pump Station, and the Water Distribution Main from <br /> the South Water Treatment Plant(SWTP)to the City's elevated water tanks on East Garfield and <br /> West Division. <br /> Page 13 <br />
