<br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE
<br /> - CHAPTER 7 - OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES GENERALLY -
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,
<br /> ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois,
<br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 2, as so modified and
<br /> amended, shall provide as follows:
<br /> 2. APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL. The City Manager shall have the power
<br /> and authority to appoint and remove at will the Assistant City Managers, Assistant to
<br /> the City Manager, all directors of departments, all deputy and assistant department
<br /> directors, fire marshals, battalion chiefs, police personnel above the rank of
<br /> sergeant, division managers, administrative secretaries, members of the Legal
<br /> Department, Director of the Abraham Lincoln Heritage Project, Personnel
<br /> Specialists, Training Officer, Human Rights Officer, Systems Administrator, Senior
<br /> Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Auditor, Risk Management Assistant, Water
<br /> Customer Service Manager, Street and Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant
<br /> City Engineer, Civil Engineer I, Civil Engineer II, Fleet Supervisor, Water
<br /> Production Maintenance Supervisor, Water Production Operations Supervisor,
<br /> Engineering Technician Supervisor, CAD System Coordinator, Maintenance
<br /> Supervisor, Traffic and Parking Supervisor, City Forester, Foreman, Economic
<br /> Development Coordinator, Building Inspections Manager, Senior Planner, Planners,
<br /> Planning Manager, Neighborhood and Housing Planner, Senior Crime Analyst,
<br /> Crime Analyst, Emergency Communications Manager, Emergency Communications
<br /> Supervisors, Neighborhood Redevelopment Manager, Neighborhood Inspections
