ORDINANCE NO. 2009-50 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY <br /> CHAPTER 7, OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES GENERALLY <br /> CHAPTER 34, TRAFFIC <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, <br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended so that said Section 2 shall provide as <br /> follows: <br /> 2. APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL. The City Manager shall have the power and <br /> authority to appoint and remove at will the Assistant City Managers, Assistant to the <br /> City Manager, all directors of departments, all deputy and assistant department <br /> directors, fire marshals, battalion chiefs, police personnel above the rank of sergeant, <br /> division managers, administrative secretaries, members of the Legal Department, <br /> Director of the Abraham Lincoln Heritage Project, Personnel Specialists, Training <br /> Officer, Human Rights Officer, Systems Administrator, Senior Systems Analyst, <br /> Systems Analyst, Auditor, Risk Management Assistant, Water Customer Service <br /> Supervisor, Street and Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant City Engineer, Civil <br /> Engineer I, Civil Engineer II, Fleet Supervisor, Water Production Maintenance <br /> Supervisor, Engineering Technician Supervisor, CAD System Coordinator, <br /> Maintenance Supervisor, Traffic and Parking Supervisor, City Forester, Foreman, <br /> Economic Development Coordinator, Building Inspections Manager, Senior Planner, <br /> Planners, Planning Manager, Neighborhood and Housing Planner, Senior Crime <br /> Analyst, Crime Analyst, Emergency Communications Manager, Emergency <br /> Communications Supervisors, Neighborhood Redevelopment Manager, <br /> Neighborhood Inspections Administrator, Neighborhood Program Specialist, Enterprise <br /> Zone Administrator, and Temporary and seasonal employees. <br /> Section 2. That Section 38 B. v. of Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended so that said Section 38 B. v. shall <br /> provide as follows: <br />
