ORDINANCE NO. 2009-46 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR IN CENTRAL PARK AND ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY CITY CENTRE DECATUR WHEREAS, City Centre Decatur has planned its annual "Cruisin' Downtown" event scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2009; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of City Centre Decatur to offer beer and wine for sale to its patrons for consumption at this event; and, WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor in Central Park and on public right-of- way requires the express approval of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of City Centre Decatur and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be permitted for said limited time period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the day listed herein, and only on such day, between the hours listed, only those alcoholic beverages listed below may be consumed in Central Park located in downtown Decatur, said day and hours being particularly described as follows: Saturday, July 11, 2009 1:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Beer and Wine Only Section 2. That those portions of public rights-of-way at, in, or on which the above named alcoholic liquor may be consumed, on the day and during the hours listed in Section 1 hereof, are described as follows: Central Park; Franklin Street between East Main and East North Streets; East William Street between North Main and east of North Franklin Streets; North Park Street between North Franklin and North Water Streets; South Park Street between North Franklin and North Water Streets;
