EXHIBIT "A" FUNDING RESOLUTION FAP 716 (IL 48) Contract No.: 74500 Section (127R, RS-2) (130R-2, RS-1) Agreement: JN 712 002 City Section: 11-00122-00-FP Job Number: C-97-151-10 Macon County WHEREAS, the CITY OF DECATUR has entered into an AGREEMENT with the STATE OF ILLINOIS, for the improvement of approximately 1.97 miles of FAP 716 (IL 48, Section (127R, RS-2)(130R-2, RS-1), City Section 11-00122-00-FP) from Marietta Street to South Side Drive in Decatur by pavement patching, hot-mix asphalt surface removal, hot-mix asphalt resurfacing, detector loops, inlet adjustment, pavement marking, and any other work necessary to complete the section. WHEREAS, in compliance with the aforementioned AGREEMENT, it is necessary for the CITY OF DECATUR to appropriate sufficient funds to pay its share of the said cost of the improvement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that there is hereby appropriated the sum of TWENTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($23,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, from any money now or hereafter allotted to the City of Decatur to pay its share of the cost of this improvement as provided in the AGREEMENT; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon award of the contract for this improvement, the CITY OF DECATUR will pay to the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois in a lump sum from any funds allotted to the CITY OF DECATUR an amount equal to 85% of its obligation incurred under this Agreement, and will pay to the said DEPARTMENT the remainder of the obligation in a lump sum, upon completion of the project based upon final costs. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CITY OF DECATUR agrees to pass a supplemental resolution to provide necessary funds for its share of the cost of this improvement if the amount appropriated herein proves to be insufficient to cover said cost.
