RESOLUTION NO. R2011-151
<br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BINDER COVERAGE WITH ARTHUR J.
<br /> GALLAGHER RISK MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INC. AND ACCEPTING
<br /> PROPOSALS OF MUNICH RE, LIBERTY MUTUAL,
<br /> TRAVELERS INDEMNITY COMPANY AND CHUBB CORPORATION
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur has a current contract expiring September 30, 2011, and
<br /> is in need of insurance covering property, casualty, workers compensation, crime/employee
<br /> dishonesty and machinery breakdown for the period October 1, 2011 through September 30,
<br /> 2012; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. has secured quotes on
<br /> the City's behalf for insurance covering property, casualty, workers compensation,
<br /> crime/employee dishonesty and machinery breakdown for the period October 1, 2011 through
<br /> September 30, 2012; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, Munich RE has submitted a quote to supply general liability, automobile
<br /> liability, law enforcement liability, employee benefits liability, errors and omissions, property
<br /> and automobile physical damage insurance in the amount of$305,539.00; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, Liberty Mutual has submitted a quote to supply excess workers
<br /> compensation insurance in the amount of$411,240.00; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, Travelers Indemnity Company has submitted a quote to supply excess
<br /> property insurance in the amount of $44,292.00 and to supply crime / employee dishonesty
<br /> insurance in the amount of$3,780.00; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, Chubb Corporation has submitted a quote to supply machinery breakdown
<br /> insurance in the amount of$5,417.00.
<br /> BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That the quote of Munich RE to supply general liability, automobile liability,
<br /> law enforcement liability, employee benefits liability, errors and omissions, property and
<br /> automobile physical damage insurance in the amount of$305,539.00 to the City of Decatur be,
<br /> and the same is hereby, accepted and approved.
<br /> Section 2. That the quote of Liberty Mutual to supply excess workers compensation
<br /> insurance in the amount of $411,240.00 to the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby,
<br /> accepted and approved.
