Alexander, Director of Water Management <br /> SUBJECT: Battery Charger Purchase <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Council approve the attached resolution awarding the purchase of a Hindle Power Single Phase <br /> Battery Charger from Waddell Power, Inc. for$5,188.28. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The South Water Treatment Plant filter basins valve controls operate on 24 Volt DC electricity <br /> with an extensive battery back up system. The battery charger for this system is 23 years old and <br /> in need of immediate replacement. It is not a standard off the shelf model, hence the high cost. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: <br /> None foreseen. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: <br /> Keith D.
