1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. R2011-85 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER <br /> TO HIRE MILLIMAN CONSULTANTS AND ACTUARIES <br /> TO PROVIDE ACTUARIAL SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is required by GASB 45 to measure and report <br /> the liabilities associated with other post-employment benefits related to the health <br /> insurance benefits provided to retirees, and <br /> WHEREAS, Milliman Consultants and Actuaries have submitted a proposal for <br /> actuarial consulting services related to the valuation of these benefits, in the amount of <br /> $7,800 for the initial actuarial valuation and $3,100 for the "off' fiscal year calculation, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Milliman Consultants and Actuaries are presently providing these <br /> services and are quite familiar with the City policies and procedures. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to <br /> Milliman Consultants and Actuaries an amount not to exceed $7,800 during this fiscal <br /> year and $3,100 the following year. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED thi 6th day of,June, 2011. <br /> ! r <br /> L T.
