-2-
A second important addition to the survey is the use of high resolution equipment to determine if
there are leaks in our water mains located under Lake Decatur, the Sangamon River and Big
Creek. Water main leaks in locations such as these can be more difficult to accurately assess,
hence the need for more sophisticated equipment and analysis.
POTENTIAL OBJECTION:
None foreseen.
STAFF REFERENCE:
Keith Alexander, Director of Water Management, 424-2863, kalexander@decaturil.gov
Randy Miller, Water Services Manager, 875-5704, rmiller@decaturil.gov
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS:
The project is included in the Water Non Lake Capital 5 year plan and is scheduled to take 3
years to complete.
cc: Steve Daul, ADS LLC
Randy Miller, Water Services Manager
Mark O'Connor, Water Distribution Maintenance Supervisor
Don Giger, Water Production Operations Supervisor
Steve Leach, Water Production Maintenance Supervisor
