H2O15-02 <br /> RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING LOCAL LANDMARK DESIGNATION <br /> For DENNIS SCHOOL MONARCH BUTTERFLY MONUMENT <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTUAL SITES COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> WHEREAS, on August 19, 2015, the Historic and Architectural Sites Commission held a <br /> Public Hearing pursuant to Decatur City Code Chapter 31 Section 7, on the proposed <br /> designation of the Dennis School Monarch Butterfly Monument, located at 1499 W. Main St. in <br /> the City of Decatur, Illinois, as a Landmark; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed landmark is legally described as: <br /> The South 190 feet of Lot Nine (9) of"A" Lots of Assessor's <br /> Subdivision of the South Part of the SW% of NE% in Section 16 Township <br /> 16 North, Range 2E of the Third Principal Meridian as per Plat recorded in <br /> Book 33 Page 26 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, <br /> Illinois, also identified as a portion of PIN 04-12-16-255-008. <br /> WHEREAS, after due deliberation,the Historic and Architectural Sites Commission voted <br /> unanimously that the proposed Landmark meets the criteria required for designation as a <br /> Landmark as outlined in Decatur City Code Chapter 31, Section 4; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Historical and Architectural Sites <br /> Commission does hereby unanimously recommend the Decatur City Council designate the <br /> Dennis School Monarch Butterfly Monument as a Landmark, which is worthy of preservation <br /> and recognition because of its historic and architectural significance t e City of Decatur. <br /> This 19th day of August 2015. <br /> Hank Norris, Chairperson <br /> Attes • Cf7Y OF DECATUR, IL <br /> �.� ����--t <br /> Janet land, Clerk to the Commission ���� 28 �0�5� <br /> A�G�.t�'�- � . <br /> .N ETLPOLAND IiITY CLERK <br /> o�c�ni.s� <br /> No�y�a��rmis <br /> 1 201� <br />
