Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Anne�ng Territory--4491 East Reas Bridge Road <br /> SUMMARY RECOMIVV��NDATION: StafFrecommends that the subject anne�tion <br /> petition be approved. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The subject property adjoins Decatur City limits on the west, north, and east. Property <br /> to the south is located in the County. The lot contains approxiamtely 1.03 acres. The <br /> lot is improved with a business. The following information is relevant to the area in <br /> question: <br /> 1. City water is currently available and not connected to the subject property. <br /> 2. No additional public infrastructure or municipal services are needed or <br /> contemplated. <br /> 3. Decatur Fire repsonse distance and time averages 3.9 miles and <br /> 8 minutes, respectively. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: Seeking water connection. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The plat and anne�tion request has been <br /> reviewed by Engineering, Finance, Fire, Legal, Macon County Health Department, <br /> Municipal Services Division, Planning& Building Services, Neighborhood Services, and <br /> Water Services. All of the reviewers recommend the anne�tion be approved. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director, and Matt Newell, <br /> City Engineer. Richard Marley will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to <br /> answer any questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Based on the current assessed value, <br /> approximately $320 in real estate, $67 in motor fuel and $231 in state income taxes may <br /> be realized annually by annexing the property. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> Page 31 of 186 <br />
