I' � `ti `, I4 <br /> Task 2: Neighborhood and Public Education Workshop (January) <br /> Once the criteria and application process are approved,Teska will plan and facilitate a half-day <br /> workshop for neighborhood leaders. <br /> Site Visit#1: The Neighborhood Workshop will: <br /> - Review criteria for neighborhood selection <br /> - Review the application process <br /> - Review elements of an initial neighborhood plan <br /> - Discuss elements of the Plan that will take place citywide and involve other neighborhoods <br /> - Hold short sessions (15 to 20 minutes) with each prospective neighborhood to discuss their <br /> initial ideas <br /> Task 3:Selection of Neighborhood and Neighborhood Prioritization Plan (February- March) <br /> Teska will participate in a conference call with City staff and other partners to review the <br /> applications and select one or two neighborhoods for the Initiative. <br /> Teska will prepare materials and plan a workshop to prioritize projects from the Decatur <br /> Sustainability Plan for implementation in the given neighborhood. The site visit will include a <br /> neighborhood walking tour in each neighborhood. <br /> CONO will work with the local neighborhood on a site survey of the neighborhood and provide <br /> information to Teska on land uses, open spaces, urban greening opportunities, housing <br /> condition, and commercial businesses. Teska will map additional information in GIS based on <br /> the site survey. <br /> Site Visit#2: Prioritization of Projects from Sustainability Plan <br /> The purpose of the site visit is to prioritize projects, based on the initial application, local <br /> resources and capacities of the neighborhood, City and other prospective partners. <br /> Priorities will be assigned based on: <br /> 1) potential for impact <br /> 2) ability to meet metrics/outcomes <br /> 3) ability for project to garner needed resources <br /> ! <br />
