RESOLUTION NO. R2010-202 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING <br /> TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION <br /> OF NORTH AND SOUTH US ROUTE 51 BUSINESS <br /> FROM ELDORADO STREET TO CLEVELAND AVENUE <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Illinois (State) currently has jurisdiction and control over US Route 51 <br /> Business, between Eldorado Street (US Rte 36) and Cleveland Avenue, which passes through the City of <br /> Decatur; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Illinois wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to the City of Decatur; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City is willing to accept responsibilities of the roads located within the City of <br /> Decatur; and <br /> WHEREAS, the authority to make changes to the Municipal Street System is granted to the <br /> Municipality by Section 7-101 of the Illinois Highway Code, <br /> WHEREAS, at the conclusion of 21 calendar days after the execution of an Agreement between <br /> the State of Illinois and the City of Decatur, the State wishes to transfer jurisdiction thereof to the City of <br /> Decatur; and, <br /> WHEREAS, at the conclusion of 21 calendar days after the execution of an Agreement between <br /> the State of Illinois and the City of Decatur, the City is willing to accept responsibility of the roads <br /> locateJ in the City of Decatur. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the transfer of jurisdiction of the following roads, as described in the <br /> agreement, copy of which is attached hereto, and is hereby, added to, and made part of the Municipal <br /> Street System of the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois. <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby, authorized and directed to sign the <br /> Jurisdictional Transfer Agreements attached hereto, regarding transfer of jurisdiction of the road from the <br /> State of Illinois t� the City, and they are hereby further authorized and directed to sign any additional <br /> documents required ta effect the jurisdictional transfers approved herein upon final completion of 21 <br /> calenuar days as described in the agreement. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 21S` day of Oct er, 2010. � <br /> ( <br /> I A T.
