Smith, Senior Planner <br /> SUBJECT: Additional Funds for Massie, Massie &Associates on <br /> Illinois Tomorrow Grant Project <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends City Council approval, authorizing $3,261.00 in additional funding for <br /> professional services performed by Massie, Massie & Associates for corridor enhancement work <br /> done under the provisions of the City's Illinois Tomorrow Grant. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On September 6, 2005, the City entered into an agreement with the Illinois Department of <br /> Transportation for what was the Third in a series of three (3) Illinois Tomorrow Grants dating <br /> back to 2000. The objective of the Phase III grant, scheduled to expire on June 30, 2008, was to <br /> prepare design plans and various strategies for implementing enhancements along the six (6) <br /> Federal and State highway corridors in the City. The grant was extended twice, ending on June <br /> 30, 2010. <br /> The grant required a 10%match by the City. The $3,261.00 requested in additional funding <br /> represents the City's match for the final invoice submitted by Massie Massie and Associates. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this ordinance. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Mark L.
