Anderson Plaza <br /> Decatur, IL 62523 <br /> Re: Amendment to Agreement for Financial Support of the Local Bioenergy Initiative <br />� Dear Mr. Alexander: <br /> The Agricultural Watershed Institute (AWI) and the CiTy of Decatur (City) entered into an <br /> agreement dated January 8, 2009, for CiTy financial support to AWI for the Local Bioenergy <br /> Initiative. This letter proposes certain amendments to that Agreement. <br /> CHANGE IN LEVEL OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT: <br /> The existing Agreement covers a period of two years and provides for total City financial <br /> support in the amount of$129,960 to be paid in 24 monthly payments of$5,415 each. Upon <br /> acceptance by the City of this Amendment, the monthly payment shall be reduced to $4,33�.:0� <br /> effective May 1, 2010 for the remainder of the period covered by the Agreement. This <br /> represents a reduction in the annual support level from$64,980 to $52,000. <br /> MATCHING FUNDS: <br /> The existing Agreement states, in part: "It is understood and agreed by the parties that the City <br /> financial support to AWI for the Local Bioenergy Initiative will be matched at least one-to-one <br /> by grants and contributions from the Lumpkin Foundation and other sources." AWI is pleased to <br /> report that we have received a grant in the amount of $200,637 from the Walton Family <br /> Foundation (WFF) for the Local Bioenergy Initiative. We have also been advised that an AWI <br /> grant application for $49,900 has been approved by the Illinois Department of Commerce and <br /> Economic Opportunity. We note that these new grants are more than sufficient to meet the one- <br /> to-one match requirement in the existing City-AWI agreement. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> The existing Agreement states, in part: "AWI, in consultation with the City and other <br /> stakeholders and experts, will rnonitor developments and may make adjustments within the <br />
