• -
- . .
Design
Functiona/ Desian
During functional design, the details of how a presentation will perform are
documented. In this step the user experience is specified. Specific features
such as bookmarking, navigation and the integration of any audio or video
components are identified.
Technica/ Desiqn
Ali technical requirements identified for the module are designed and
documented. This includes verifying or creating the technical archikecture as
well as any interface points, such as communication with an external website
or other systems that might interact with the module.
User Interface DesiAn
The user interface is a criticai element of any module. Without careful
consideration of usability and aesthetics, visitor engagement can suffer
significantly. At Iana, aur graphic designers are skilled and trained in
effective interaction design. In addition, through user testing, we verify that
the interfaces we design meet the needs of the target audience.
Script Creation
The presentation content is outlined and storyboards are created. By
outlining the content during the Design phase of work, we obtain client
agreement an the specific subject matter to be presented. It is also during
this step that any user interactions are identified.
Interaction Desian
For many situations, user interactions are an effective way to present
material so that it is understoad, remembered and can be compelling. The
design of these interactions provides a way for clients to review this
important activity element. In addition, the design provides a blueprint for
the developers who will create the actual interactions.
5/25/10 16 of 18 The lona Group
