Smith, Deputy Chief of Administrative Operations �' <br /> Subject: Sungard Public Sector software Maintenance Agreement <br /> Purpose: The purpose of this memorandum is to request the expenditure of funds to <br /> Sungard Public Safety Sector for the annual software maintenance agreement. <br /> Background: The Decatur Police Department has used Sungard Public Sector software to <br /> operate the Emergency Communication Center and the associated systems for over ten years. <br /> The Decatur Police Department retains a signed maintenance agreement with Sungard which is a <br /> regularly budgeted item and paid annually at the end of each fiscal year. The Sungard software <br /> operates the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), CRIMES, the official record of incidents, the <br /> message switch which reaches out to the Mobile Data Computers for Police and Fire, QRep, <br /> GTG Looking Glass Crimes and the Records Management Systems. The maintenance agreement <br /> covers the time frame from May 1, 2010 through Apri130, 2011 and is paid annually through <br /> Police and Communications budgeted line items. The cost of the 2010-2011 Sungard <br /> maintenance agreement is $62,355.620. <br /> Recommendation: It would be the recommendation of staff that the Decatur Police <br /> Department pay the 2010-2011 Sungard Public Sector software maintenance agreement at the <br /> cost of$62,355.62, to be paid out of the designated Police and Communications line items. <br /> Attachments: Check Request Sungard Public Sector Inc. <br /> Invoice Sungard Public Sector <br /> Potential Objections: None Anticipated <br /> Funding Sources: General fund/Decatur Police and Communications line items <br /> Staff References: James A.
