Bauer, Assistant City Manager for Administration� <br /> Randy Aldrich, Manager, MIS Division�_...�.ls /��i�-,.�� <br /> SUBJECT: Purchase of IBM D62 Passport Advantage Maintenance Agreement <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council approve the attached resolution, <br /> authorizing the City Manager to execute a purchase agreement with <br /> IBM for IBM D62 Passport Advantage Maintenance Agreement. <br /> BACKGROUND: The majority of our in house developed applications are based on <br /> the DB2 database. This will allow us to update to the most currently <br /> available version of the software for the duration of the Agreement. <br /> It will also give us access to IBM support resources and personnel <br /> for problem resolution. This gives us a measure of protection for the <br /> City of Decatur's investment in DB2 software, applications and <br /> training. , <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTORS: None anticipated. <br /> I <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Gerard J.
