McCrady, City Manager 'N' <br /> Ron Neufeld, Financial Management Director <br /> Deborah M. Perry, Purchasing Supervisor�� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for Jon Boat& Trailer <br /> � SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to AAD Welding <br /> to furnish one (1)j on boat with an AAD tandem axle trailer, <br /> BACKGROLIND: The boat and trailer will be used by the Lake Services. They will replace a <br /> 1991 Custom Commercial jon boat and Heritage Trailer currently in use. The boat and trailer are <br /> at the end of their useful service lives and are budged for replacement this fiscal year. The boat <br /> is in poor condition. The trailer is in fair condition and was designed to haul the current boat and <br /> not the new one. The old boat and trailer will be sold at a later date. <br /> The boat is used to push the barge for shoreline repairs in shallow waters and for towing and <br /> removal of debris from the lake after storms. In addition, during special events on the lake, the <br /> jon boat is used as an additional Patrol boat. j <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Lake Services requested the boat and trailer and also <br /> wrote the bid specifications. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Keith Alexander, Water Management Director, 424-2863. Randy <br /> Miller, Water Services Manager, 875-5705. Keith will be at the meeting to answer questions the <br /> council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $12,975.00 from the Water Operating Fund. <br />
