McCrady, City Manager
Keith D. Alexander, Director of Water Management
SUBJECT: Emergency Water Main Repair at 150 W. Pershing Rd.
SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION:
Council adopt the attached resolution approving an expenditure of$6,919.46 with Ban &
Robison Sewer & Excavating for an emergency water main repair located at 150 W.
Pershing Road.
BACKGROUND:
On January 12, 2010 City staff became aware of a 6" diameter water main failure located
at 150 W. Emergency repairs were authorized
by City staff to Barr & Robison Sewer & Excavating, the contractor that was next on
rotation on the City's Emergency Services Contractor list. Work began on January 12
and was completed on January 13. A copy of the invoice is attached.
POTENTIAL OBJECTION:
There are no known objections to this request.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES:
Public Works Department Engineering Division.
STAFF REFERENCE:
Keith Alexander, Director of Water Management, 424-2863 ar kalexander@decaturil.gov
Randy Miller, Water Services Manager, 875-5704 or rmiller@decaturil.gov
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS:
The expenditure for this work is $6,919.46 and is currently allocated in the Water
Operating Fund.
Attach: 2
cc: Randy Miller, Water Services Manager
Matthew C.
