Aldrich, Manager, MIS Division <br /> SUBJECT: Annual Maintenance Renewal for NeatSuite Advanced <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council approve the <br /> attached resolution, authorizing the City Manager to execute a purchase agreement with <br /> CDW-G for Trend Micro NeatSuite Advanced annual maintenance renewal. <br /> BACKGROUND: Trend Micro NeatSuite Advanced is a multilayered, multi-threat <br /> protection application guarding the City's mail server, file servers, storage systems and <br /> desktop computers from virus and malware threats. Renewal of the maintenance entitles <br /> the City to receive the current virus definitions and application updates which are updated <br /> frequently. <br /> The summary of quotes received is provided at Enclosure 2. Staff recommends <br /> acceptance of the proposal of the lowest cost bidder, CDW-G, for $6,125. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Randy G. Aldrich, Manager, MIS Division 450-2239. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: The $6,125.00 will be paid from the MIS <br /> Operations Fund, reimbursed on a pro rata basis from other funds, and is provided for in <br /> the approved FY 2009-2010 budget. <br /> Attachments (2) <br /> 1 <br />
