LEASE <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made as of the�day of October, 2009, between the <br /> Decatur Public Building Commission, Macon County, Illinois, a municipal corporation <br /> (Commission), as Lessor, and the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, a municipality <br /> and a home rule unit under the provisions of the Illinois Constitution of 1970 (City), as <br /> Lessee. <br /> In consideration of the rents reserved hereunder, and the promises and the <br /> cavenants herein made by each of the parties hereto, and for other good and valuable <br /> consideration, it is convenanted and agreed by the parties hereto as follows: <br /> SECTION I. Lease Terms and Rentals <br /> In consideration of the rents reserved and the covenants, agreements and other <br /> terms and conditions herein provided to be kept, observed and performed by the City, the <br /> Commission does hereby lease to the City those portions of the Law Enforcement Center <br /> located on Block 7 of South Addition to Decatur, as per plat recorded in Book G, page <br /> 553 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, street address 333 <br /> South Franklin Street, Decatur, Illinois, allocated to the City's use as specified on Exhibit <br /> A attached hereto. <br /> B. The term of this Lease shall begin on December 1, 2009 and end on November <br /> 30, 2010. The rent shall be Two Hundred Seventy-eight Thousand Ninety-two Dollars <br /> ($278,092.00). <br /> C. The City represents and warrants that its obligation to make rental payments <br /> hereunder constitutes a general obligation for the payment of which the City's full faith <br /> and credits are hereby pledged. The City shall provide by separate resolution or <br /> ordinance for the levy and collection of a direct annual t� sufficient to pay its rent <br />
