• . � <br /> , , <br /> AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> FOR THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR <br /> K-MART PUMPING STATION FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 21 ST day of September , 2009, by and <br /> between the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, hereinafter referred to as the "CITY" and <br /> BAINBRIDGE, GEE, NIILANSKI & ASSOCIATES, INC., 1670 South Taylorville Road, Decatur, <br /> Illinois 62521, hereinafter referred to as the "ENGINEER", covers professional engineering services in <br /> connection with the preparation of plans and specification for the replacement of the K-Mart pumping <br /> station force main as recommended in the "K-Mart Pumping Station Study" dated September 2009 by <br /> Bainbridge, Gee, Milanski & Associates hereinafter refened to as the "PROJECT". The new fore main <br /> will be designed to work in conjunction with a new K-Mart pumping station currently under design by the <br /> Sanitary District of Decatur. Said PROJECT has been designated CITI'PROJECT Qq-3�— <br /> THEREFORE, in consideration of these premises and of the mutual covenants herein set forth, <br /> THE ENGINEER AGREES, <br /> 1. Proiect En�ineerinE Services - To perform or be responsible for the performance of the <br /> following professional engineering services for the CITY in connection with the design of the <br /> proposed projects hereinbefore described: <br /> a. Make such detailed surveys as are necessary for the preparation of detailed construction <br /> plans. <br /> b. Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications in such a manner as to permit <br /> the CITY to obtain construction bid prices for the above described PROJECT. <br /> c. Prepare proposal forms,notice to bidders, and the Contract Documents. <br /> d. Prepare estimate of project construction cost based on final plans and documents. <br /> e. Furnish copies of the Contract Documents consisting of Construction Agreement Forms, <br /> General Conditions, Special Conditions, Detailed Construction Plans and Specifications <br /> for review by the CITY,and for submission to permitting authorities. <br /> f. Incorporate CITY's review comments into the final set of contract documents. <br /> g. Assist the CITY with necessary permit applications to all governmental and other <br /> authorities having jurisdiction to approve portions of the PROJECT such as, but not <br /> limited to,the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. <br /> h. Obtain title searches and prepare legal descriptions for necessary easements and property <br /> acquisition. <br /> BGM 09-083 Page 1 of 4 <br />
