Perry, Purchasing Supervisord� <br /> SUBJECT: Bids for mid-size vehicles <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Bob Ridings <br /> Inc. to furnish two (2) 2010 Ford Fusion SE mid-size vehicles. <br /> BACKGROUND: These vehicles will be assigned to the Neighborhood Service officers in the <br /> Economic and Urban Development Department. The mid-size vehicles will replace 2000 Ford <br /> Taurus XL model vehicles with 89,369 and 77,450 miles currently in service. A total cost <br /> analysis was performed on the bids received, and Bob Ridings was the most responsive and <br /> responsible bidder. The old vehicles will be sold at a later date. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Neighborhood Services requested the vehicles. Fleet <br /> Maintenance wrote the specifications. Both recommend approval of bid. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Director of Public Works, 424-2747. Richard <br /> Borders, MSC Manager, 875-4820. Richard Marley will be at the council meeting to answer <br /> questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $34,970 from the Equipment Replacement Fund. <br />
