AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made by and between the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal <br /> corporation, ("City") and the County of Macon, Illinois, a unit of local government ("County"). <br /> WHEREAS, the Illinois Emergency Services and Disaster Agency Act of 1992, as <br /> amended, provides, inter alia, that cities and counties may mutually agree to provide emergency <br /> and disaster services; and, �, <br /> WHEREAS, the parties desire that the Macon County Emergency Services and Disaster <br /> Agency, and the Coordinator employed by the County, collectively referred to hereinafter as <br /> "County ESDA", provide such services for the County and City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the provisions set out herein, the City <br /> and the County agree as follows: <br /> 1. That the present Coordinator of the County ESDA continue in that capacity. <br /> 2. That in the event the office of the present coordinator becomes vacant, the County <br /> shall not fill the office with any person unless that successor or replacement is first approved by <br /> the City, in writing. Approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. <br /> 3. The �ity will pay to the Caunty ihe sum of Ten Thousand Doilars ($10,QOU) each fiscai <br /> year in full consideration for the services of the County ESDA for that year. "Fiscal year", as <br /> used herein, shall mean May 1 through Apri130. Such payment for the fiscal year May l, 1994 <br /> through Apri130, 1995, shall be made on or before October 1, 1994; payments for all subsequent <br /> years shall be made on or before June 1 of that year. <br />
