Union <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Hutchins <br /> Excavating to remove asbestos if required, do necessary plumbing, and demolish the property at <br /> 1529 N. Union. <br /> BACKGROUND: This is an unsafe structure that was previously damaged in a fire. The <br /> owners of the property are Thomas and Carol Schroeder. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Neighborhood Services requested the demolition. <br /> STAFF REFERE <br /> NCE: Greg Crowe, Assistant City Manager, 424-2727. Dave Griffiths, <br /> Neighborhood Inspections Administrator, 424-2794. Greg and/or Dave will be at the council <br /> meeting to answer any questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $6250 from the demolition fund. <br />
