The City <br /> Council will then rule on said ��ariance, and ma}� impo5e conditions on the <br /> same to insure that the ��ariance meets the intent of the I-OL District. the <br /> intent of the underlying district, and the general purpose and intent of the <br /> Zoning Ordinance. <br /> This requirement shall apply only to the institutional use and its ancillary uses. Any <br /> variance request b}� any other property owner or use within the I-OL District must follow� <br /> the requirements of Section XXX. <br /> D. A-OL, AIRPORT OVERLAY DISTRICT <br /> 1. Intent <br /> The intent of the A-0L Airport Overla}� District is to promote the use and <br /> development of land in a manner that is compatible with the continued operation <br /> and utility of the Decatur Airport so as to protect the public investment in, and <br /> benefit provided by this facility to the community and regiqn. <br /> 2. District Boundaries <br /> a. The boundaries of the A-OL District are to be applied as an overlay <br /> district to lands which are owned by the Decatur Park District and / or the <br /> Decatur Park Foundation and commonly referred to as the Decatur Airport <br /> property. <br /> b. This District may be extended beyond the current boundaries of the I <br /> Airport property to include future expansion areas. Such boundary I <br /> changes may be allowed provided copies of deeds are submitted and 'I <br /> annexation petitions have been approved by ihe City Council. I <br /> 3. Definitions <br /> In addition to the definitions set forth in Article II, the following definitions shall <br /> apply specifically to the A-OL. In tlle event that there is a conflict between <br /> definiiions in Article II and this Article, those in this Article shall control. <br /> a. FAR Part 77 Surfaces— A map or plan depicting the three dimensional <br /> airspace that includes the obstruction identification surfaces, including <br /> approach, transition, horizontal and conical surfaces, obstructions to those <br /> surfaces and navigationa] slopes for instrument and non-instrument <br /> landing s}�stems related to airfield operations of a civil airport. <br /> b. Airport Layout Plan —A map or plan, prepared by a professional engineer, <br /> showing existing and future (planned) airport facilities including runv��ays, <br /> taxi ways. operations facilities, hangars and tie-downs, ancillary and <br /> support facilities, navigational facilities, building restriction line(s), <br /> run��a}- and other protection zones and fuel farms. <br /> - X X-5 - <br />
