Stickle, Senior Planner SS <br /> Jeanelle S.Keck, Economic Development Coordinator:,+� <br /> J <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of the premises commonly known as 3341 Fitzgerald Road. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff is of the opinion that the proposed annexation would <br /> produce a logical extension of the corporate limits; staff recommends approval of the petition as <br /> presented. <br /> BACKGROUND: A valid petition seeking voluntary annexation of the subject premises has been filed <br /> with the City Clerk's Office. Containing approximately 0.507 acres, the property is developed with a <br /> single-family residence. The properties to the east and south are zoned R-1, Single Family Residence <br /> District; properties to the north are either zoned R-1 or are located in the county, and the property to the <br /> west is in the County. When annexed, the area will come into the city as R-1, Single Family Residence �� <br /> District. The following information is relevant to the area in question: , <br /> L The parcel contains a single-family residence. �, <br /> 2. City water is available at Fitzgerald Road. �, <br /> 3. Sanitary sewer is available. I� <br /> 4. The average fire response time from the Decatur Fire Department is eight(8) minutes. � <br /> 5. Fitzgerald Road is concrete and maintained by the City. �I <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: NONE <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The annexation plat has been reviewed and approved by <br /> Municipal Services, Water Distribution, Engineering and Infrastructure, Fire, the Macon County Health <br /> Department and the Decatur Sanitary District. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Jeanelle Keck at 424-2725 or at <br /> j keck@decaturil.gov. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Additional annual revenue of approximately $628.09 would <br /> become available from the combined total real estate ($315.64) motar fuel ($116.62) and state income <br /> taxes ($195.83). <br /> �I <br />
